Regarding: Property auction on Wellesley Island
Steve really went above and beyond with this auction. He took photos and helped us promote the property online. Steve also setup online bidding, which opened our auction up to people out of state. Will use again!

Re: Thomson Estate Auction * Home & Contents Benefit Auction
168 Carrier St. Liberty, NY 12754
Steve, You did not do a good job, YOU DID A GREAT JOB! Thanks for your auction services in marketing the Dave Thomson Estate in Liberty, NY. You were able to sell everything in one day for the Estate and feel free to pass my reference on if needed. Best wishes with your auctions!
We highly recommend using SDZ Auctions. It was our first auction, an absolute real estate and contents auction. Steve was very professional and thoughtful throughout the process, guiding us through every step and made us feel at ease with our decision.
The day of the auction, Steve and his team did everything and gave us the assurance it would be ok, and it was!!! If we ever need an auction service again we will contact SDZ Auctions. Thank you so much for all your and your team’s hard work. We really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Howard And Dorothy Benjamin

I would like to take this opportunity to say how impressed I was with the way you handled the sale of my son’s house. The skill and professionalism was very much appreciated during this difficult time.
You took the time to listen to what my expectations were, and made what is usually a very stressful process, smooth and easy. You anticipated any foreseeable problems and had solutions in place if necessary. You went above & beyond to accommodate potential buyers as well as working within my schedule. Thank you Steve.
Sincerely,

My sister and I were trying to figure out how to best deal with our Mother’s estate. She had moved in with my sister and we all wanted to do something with all her collections and family home. Now we had plans of rummage sales and contacting a Real Estate firm. Our mother is still living so this would be a living Estate sale and we had wanted her involved in the process. That summer she had a fall and was in rehab so our plans needed to change. After spending a month or so trying to get things organized we realized we needed help.
After doing a little research in to the best way to sell a great many years of accumulated items and her personal property we decided on an auction. We had many items that were worth a varied amount of money. We had no real way of knowing the value of all the items or whom to see to best sell them. We called a couple of auction folks and after we called Steve he set up a time to meet with my sister and I at our Mom’s house. During this first meet we were both so impressed by Steve we decided he and his Auction company were the folks we wanted to handle our Mom’s estate sale of property and items.
SDZ auctions were outstanding from day one. Steve and his crew were over the next day shooting pictures and organizing all the items. They handled everything, advertising, notices and setting up everything for the sale. The whole crew are super friendly and professional. It was especially cool to meet one of his workers who was the son of one of our childhood neighbors. They are just a great bunch of folks to know and my Sister and I had to do “NOTHING.” The auction moved quickly and was a great deal of fun for everyone. Even when the weather turned a bit bad they kept working hard and got everything sold. They also cleaned up everything and followed through till the final closing.
Steve and his workers were super folks to work with through the whole process. Great guy and a great outfit. Many thanks from my sister and myself. We believe we got great value for the personal property and Real Estate. If we had it to do all over again, we would choose SDZ auctions. If you are thinking of having an auction…call them! Thank you to everyone involved!

To whom it may concern,
Steve Zogg and his crew were absolutely amazing. My cousin recommended him because she had worked with him prior, and she felt he would do an excellent job. He handled all aspects of the estate and home auction with the utmost care and concern. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the event went, as the house was in a state of disrepair. As a result of Steve’s superior auctioneering skills, we realized a far greater profit than we ever expected.
Since I live over 350 miles away from the property, I relied on Steve to oversee the entire process. To say he did an exceptional job is an understatement; we simply could not have done it without him. He went way above and beyond – his knowledge, communication, follow through, trustworthiness, attention to detail, and pleasant demeanor were nothing short of exemplary. Words cannot adequately express how appreciative we are of his efforts. I would highly recommend him to anyone at any time.

To whom it may concern:
My mother-in-law was hospitalized this past July 4th weekend. Everything happened so fast!! The staff met with us and told us that they could not let her go home. She had been living by herself since the death of my father-in-law in December. Within a month she was placed on a memory care unit at a local nursing home. I had been through a similar situation with my mother 2 years before so I knew that we were going to have to clean out and sell her house. The task ahead was very cumbersome and seemed overwhelming both because we had just closed on a new house and were still showing our other home and both of us had recently had surgery to repair my shoulder and his forearm. Unlike my family, we did not have the help of siblings so we wondered how we were going to do this.
I have known the Zogg family for 6 years since our sons were friends and knew that Steve was an auctioneer but thought he just did farm animals. One day when he was picking his son up I told him what was going on and asked if he would be able to help us. He told me that not only could he auction the house but that he would rent a dumpster and do the clean out for us too!
Because my mother-in-law was applying for Medicaid we had to hire an appraiser to come and look through the house before we began. With this information we were able to supply Steve with what was considered a fair selling price. Steve and his crew cleaned out the house and took such care in setting aside family photos and other items that he knew would be sentimental. His advertising was fantastic and we were very impressed with how he photographed and described the house/property. As time grew closer we watched the advertising increase and signs go up. It was done in a very professional manner. Any problems or questions that came up were handled promptly and with courtesy and professionalism.
We would highly recommend the SDZ Auction Company because of the speed at which the auction occurs following your decision to go that route – within a month after we signed the contract it was cleaned out and sold. They are helpful, reliable, courteous and professional.

Dear Steve,
I just want to take this opportunity to thank you and your family for the wonderful job you did for us in Sundown, New York.
From beginning to end your professionalism, honesty, communication and follow-up was exemplary. We knew that the job of cleaning out the house and getting it ready for sale was something only a professional like you could do. With years of accumulation and just the size of the job we could not have done it without you and your family.
It was a difficult decision for us to make but once we met you and your family and you assured us that you would handle it with the utmost care we were comfortable with our decision.
On behalf of all of us let me extend to you our sincere thanks for a job well done. I certainly would recommend you to anyone I would know that would be in need of your services.
Again many thanks,
Josephine C. Matela

Steve:
I am happy to report that I finally had a closing! I am so happy, I just don’t know what to do with myself. The only thing left to do is to replace the broken window. We ordered the window from Anderson and my husband is going to fix it this week.
Thank you so very much for all of your hard work. I never could have done this without you! I certainly never would have gotten as much for the house if we sold it through a realtor and I never would have been able to clean it out on my own. You guys are the best!
Thank you!

After researching the best way to sell a great many years of accumulated personal property, we decided on an auction. We had many items that were worth a considerable amount of money, but no real way of knowing their value. We decided to go with Zogg Brothers, because from the first meeting we could tell they were interested in getting top dollar for our items.
Traci came to our house to photograph and catalog our belongings, but she also listened to the family history of each, which was very kind. It was clear she had a great sense of what items were worth, and at sale time we were not disappointed. Steve and his dad were great at their craft, and we wondered how they would be able to talk at the end of the day. The auction moved quickly, and was a great deal of fun. The buyers were many, and with the advertising that was done ahead of time, it was clear they wanted specific items.
I believe we got top dollar for our personal property, and if we had it to do all over again, we would choose Zogg’s. If you are thinking of having an auction…call them! Thank you to everyone involved!

To Whom It May Concern:
I contracted with the Zogg Brothers Auctioneers to sell the home and contents of my late father. They quickly and efficiently inventoried the contents, advertised and conducted the auction.
We had a large number of specialty machine tools and the Zoggs targeted their advertising to get a respectable turn out of persons interested in such machinery. We obtained acceptable bids on everything including the house itself.
I found Zogg Brothers to be men of their word. They did as they promised they would. I heartily recommend their services to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation.
Sincerely,

Auction was on site @ the Perry Browne Intermediate School Auditorium *89 Midland Drive; Norwich, NY 13815 (Chenango County).
Dear Zogg Brothers:
Thank you so much for taking the time to AGAIN to host Norwich City School District’s Fourth Grade Auction at Perry Browne Intermediate School. The auction would not have been such a success without you two! You both were very professional and at the same time very fun which is what made it so enjoyable for the children. Whether or not you know, you also played a huge role in motivating most students to do well in all areas throughout the school day, months prior to the auction. Earning “Zogg Bucks” was an everyday goal for all students so that they would be able to bid and possibly purchase some of the donated prizes from local businesses in Norwich and other places in the Chenango County area. The outcome of the auction, how fun it was and your “chant” were still being talked about several days later!
We all look forward to next year’s auction! We’re sure it will be talked about all school year as it was this year and will be just as much of a success or more!!
Thank you,

To Zogg Brothers Auctioneers:
I would like to take the time to thank your organization for handling my auction of real estate, Silverado, JD 318 tractor & a HUGE assortment of tools, antiques & household goods! This was a lifetime collection by my late husband Richard Horner & the Horner family. Even in tough economic times, the home, land & personal property all sold for fair prices & the truck brought more than I expected. I’m glad I had the auction because I was able to sell everything all at once. Your service is unique because you can handle the real estate & the personal property together. The auction was well attended and advertised properly. I wanted to say though, I felt your company really cared about my needs & it wasn’t about the money. Steve & Brett helped clean up around the place and they put in extra hours to make sure I was satisfied with them. Thanks for taking all the rubbish to the dump for me after the auction! You did everything you were supposed to do and you can use me as a reference. If you have any future customers that want to speak to me about your company have them call me at (607) 591-1908. I will be glad to put in a good word for you! I wish you luck at all your future auctions and if I ever hear of anyone who needs an auction, I will let them know about you fellows!
Very Truly Yours,
Beverly Horner
Dear Steve:
I want to thank you and your entire auction company for the smooth and efficient condition of business that transpired to complete the daunting task of auctioning the huge inventory of my mother’s estate.
Everyone in your company was courteous and hard working. I think people had fun!
The catering folks you arranged did a great job, especially since there was no water on the premises. Our suggestion for them though, from my two elderly aunts in the front row, is that potato chips and popcorn are a must have!
Thank you for finding me and calling me. Should I need to sell the real estate, I would look forward to asking your company to handle the auction for that too.
I interviewed other auction companies in the area and chose you because of your straight forward, sincere manner.
Your advertising and website were clear and operating with no excuses.
Nice tents, tables, and portalette.
Sincerely,
Grace Rooney, Executrix for the estate of Evelyn Bassani.
Note: She would have been proud to see her treasures of a life time represented so well.
To Whom It May Concern:
I hired Steven Zogg and his Auction Company to assist in settling my late husband’s estate. This estate entailed not only personal property, but a vehicle and real estate as well.
From the very beginning, Steve handled the entire planning and sale process with a high level of professionalism and courtesy. He and his company did an excellent job advertising the sale by allocating the predetermined budget in such a way as to maximize the exposure and draw an enthusiastic group of bidders. Steve communicated with me throughout the entire process so that I was included in the planning and execution of the sale. All of my questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner.
On the day of sale, Steve and his company were friendly and organized. I was pleased with the results: as the real estate and vehicle sold for a very desirable price. Steve was also very good about keeping in contact with me and my attorney, after the sale, while waiting for the real estate transaction to close.
I recommend Steven and his company to anyone who is considering selling their estates or contents at auction. They will work hard to make sure that your sale is well advertised, well attended, and successful.
Sincerely,
Shirley MacKenzie
Dear Steve,
I am writing to thank you for your good work in auctioning the house in Slaterville. My client, the Executor of the estate, was quite pleased with the outcome. This was a small house in need of substantial repairs, and I was not confident we would have any bidders at all. The final price was a pleasant surprise. The entire process was easy for me as the estate’s attorney, and for the Executor.
Every step of the auction process was handled professionally, from developing an advertising program to the post-auction details necessary for the closing.
Thank you for your help. I look forward to working with you again.
Very truly yours,
John Moss Hinchcliff, Attorney, Miller Mayer, LLP
